The Rime of the Ancient Mariner (originally The Rime of the Ancyent Marinere) is the longest major poem by the English poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, written in 1797–98 and published in 1798 in the first edition of Lyrical Ballads. Modern editions use a revised version printed in 1817 that featured a gloss. Along with other poems in Lyrical Ballads, it was a signal shift to modern poetry and the beginning of British Romantic literature.

Heavy clouds. Skywatch Friday

The last 3 weeks were very rainy and also windy.

We had lots and lots of heavy rain.

When the clouds look like this you can be sure it’s going to pour!

Friday is gone and I did not put some sky on!

Today, Saturday , will do for now.

Early morning from my front door again!

Lucy is starting to move closer and closer!

This was taken 7:15 am.

It is now 6:20 pm.

Heavy clouds are still covering the sky,

Wind gusts are coming and going.

Everybody is waiting for the rain and strong wind.

(Don’t know exactly what they call Lucy!)

Black and white: Foggy morning

The last few days were very wet and foggy.

I had to pick up my family at the Wellington Airport at 11:58pm

Friday night.

The first part of the way that runs next to the river was very foggy.

The last few mornings were like this.

Rain, beautiful rain!

 

 

RAIN, RAIN, RAIN

The rain is here to stay for at least some more days!

Last night there were very heavy rain pours.

This morning walking Trompie I saw that it must have been a lot of rain.

The leaves on the side of the road were pushed away from the kerb.

I took the following photos to show!
