Shop Hop Thursday!

Last Thursday my friend and I completed our shop hop for 2013!

We had a real good time visiting the shops.

This year was the third time my friend and I participated .

We started off at ten from

Sawmillers Quiltery

3 Plateau Rd, Te Marua, Upper Hutt

Next stop was way north at

Crafty Pear

The Crafty Pear(the black one)

The last shop was

Quilters Lane

50a Queens St, Masterton

My friend is going to do Quilters Lane’s quilt

Each of the five shops prepared a basket as the lucky dip for this year.

This is Quilters Lane’s basket.

First leg of Shop hop.

I did not have time to take photos yesterday because ….

My friend first had to visit her GP and

it took 45 minutes of our precious travel time!

We started the journey to Palmerston North at about 10:50am

We made a pit stop at my friends new house!

The view from the deck is just awesome!

We enjoyed our trip and are doing the next shops on Thursday.

New quilt! Inspire me Monday

Inspire Me Monday #95 – Week Of October 27, 2013

Inspire Me Monday

Next quilt!

I finished this one off a while ago.

I may as well share it as an inspiration.

At the end of last year  my favorite quilt shop

organised a

Half Square Triangle Swap

with USA

5 shops participated

4 shops in USA

1 shop in New Zealand( Us )

It took some time before our swapped pieces came

but it was worth it.

We had 31 ladies who handed in their half square triangles.

Here is my finished quilt.

Wow, I focused and finished: Weekly Photo Challenge : Focus

This week we have to focus on what we are doing. Focus on your work. Focus your camera. Focus, focus, focus.
I have been working on a quilt since last year.
I am hand quilting it, or I have hand quilted it.
This weekend I had my
on this quilt and
I finished it just now!
Focus on the pattern and quilting.
