frizztext goes to the next letter of the alphabet on a Tuesday
We are staring with
A
this week.
AWESOME ADVENTURE
Mt Bruce Reserve
Kaka looking you in the eye waiting to take a peck at you
Tuatara staring at you through glass enclosure
Tui drinking nectar from flax flowers.
AWESOME ADVENTURE
indeed.
That is some beak!
Gee wizz and how! They kept on coming nearer and nearer. There were about four flying in and out onto the tables and following people in the hope for a bit to eat. One started eating an old gentleman’s hamburger.
Doesn’t look like the kind of bird one would argue with!
Nope, You’ll come last!
Lekker ek dink ek moet ook weer deelneem
Gee mens weer rede om iets te doen
hi Ineke,
your Kaka made me smile!
They are very, very naughty!
Amazing
Aangenaam
Aaag, hoe dierbaar!
Lekker paar ekstra A’s bygevoeg!
Stunning!
Thanks glad you like this! 🙂
I will remember to back away from Kaka when I see that look! Nice photos!
Thank you! 🙂
The animals shots are great but also love the flax. It is one of the few plants hardy enough to grow in our garden.
Every garden here has one or two flax plants in it. Tui’s love the flowers for its nectar. I read in our newspaper that there is a flax disease killing the flaxes. They can’t do much to prevent it they say. It’s called yellow leaf phytoplasma.
Interesting. We have had one or two of our mature plants die and thought it was lack or water conditions too harsh etc. Haven’t heard of that disease before. Will keep my eyes and ears open now.
The article was in our local newspaper and it seems to be here in the Hutt valley!
