What’s Inspiring You This Week?
Here’s What’s Inspiring Me…
I joined the Time Bank in Upper Hutt
Every Friday between 10 to 11 we go to our community vegetable garden.
We plant and sow and weed like mad.
My first share of the garden
This is how the garden looks like.
This is the raised bed in the middle.
We have planted, chives, carrots and last week some lettuce also
This bed is on the left and needs a lot of weeding and some top soil
before we can plant our veggies.
On the right hand side is the first bed – not raised.
There we have broad beans, spinach, peas and some potatoes.
The raised bed on the right is full of potatoes.
The raised bed on the left has, peppers, tomatoes, radishes, pumpkins.
The front beds are in the making.
How delightful! To scrunch your fingers into the earth, to watch the fruits of your labors (fun) rise up to greet the sun and soak in the rain, to harvest, cook, eat, preserve, and to plant again.
True. It is very therapeutic to be busy outside for an hour just enjoying the plants around me.
This is a great idea – nice to see you in a t-shirt at this time of year!
It really is a great idea. We are on the way to summer not to winter here- remember I am in the south
We are having a warm spell so I’m not too jealous – but there is no snow!
It does not really wants to become real summery hot yet. Still some cold fronts coming in from Antarctica.
Awesome garden – very inspirational! 🙂
Have a fabulous week!

Thank you. This garden inspires me to see the good in the world around me! Enjoy the rest of the week too!
What an exciting activity and yes, a healthy veggie dish afterwards. Love it.
It is wonderful to see these plants grow. Today the carrots and beetroot were sticking out their first growth We have sown some beans and lettuce today.
There’s nothing like fresh veggies, especially when they are home grown. This looks like a lot of fun too.
PS the new look of our blog is lovely, I like Trompie’s photo at the top. He looks like such a character!
I really enjoy going out for an hour and dig around in the garden. I do not have space at my place.
I fiddled around a bit with my image on my blog, thanks for loving it!
community gardens are wonderful 🙂
It really is. Outside in the open fresh air, chatting with others and seeing how everything grows is good for the soul
