Ailsa gives us every week a challenge to take part in for the week.
This week’s theme is WHITE
I got married August 30, 1980.
After the wedding we drove to my flat in Potgietersrus.
One of my best friends put a bottle of champagne
and these two white doves on the table.
I am so glad I have taken a photo of them because
I don’t have them anymore.
I gave away most of my smaller things before moving to New Zealand.
Doves as symbols
Doves, usually meaning domesticated Rock Pigeons, are a traditional Christian symbol of love and peace,

They are cute and it’s a shame you don’t have them still. But I understand, we can’t keep everything. I should whittle down some more stuff.
Very sad but that is a chapter that is gone. Glad I still have a photo of it.
Love the story and the doves!
Thank you, it took my mind way back to our wedding day.
That is the sad thing about moving to another country – you need to give away many things that hold good memories.
I agree, I brought only a few of my really valuable things over. These doves are in the hand of another married couple. Sadly the lady’s husband died in a car crash a few years ago.
