BLACK and WHITE
My son – age 3
A tiny discoverer of butterfly wings.
A hugger of teddies, a sweet sleepy head.
And someone to dream for in bright years ahead.
A special new person who right from the start,
has a place in the family and a coarse in your heart.
And just when you think you’ve learned all the things,
that your dear son is,and the joy that he brings,
a hug or a grin comes with such a sweet surprise,
that love finds you smiling with tears in your eyes. http://www.scrapbook.com/poems/doc/17805/9.html
That’s what little boys are made of (revised)
That’s what boys are made of.
With dirt on his nose,
and scrapes on his knees,
the throwing or rocks,
and the climbing of trees,
with pockets of frogs,
and jars full of bugs
makes a sweet little boy
full of kisses and hugs!

Your son reminded me of my son when he was at the age. magical years full of adventures. Beautiful poetry filled with a pure giving mothers love. “And just when you think you’ve learned all the things,
that your dear son is,and the joy that he brings,
a hug or a grin comes with such a sweet surprise,
that love finds you smiling with tears in your eyes” So true.
He gave me so much pleasure while growing up and still is giving it when I see him. I still adore him and he is such a good young man (31 this year!)
What a cutie. I love his cheeks in the first one.
You know, when they took the photo, the photographer kept on saying “smile” All the kiddies gave this smile to him because that was how he showed them how to do it.
Cute smile of the first photo! Love the poem, beautiful!
Thank you, glad you liked it
